The Turkish news agency Anadolu reports that Russia, Ukraine and Turkey, under the auspices of the UN, have prepared a “road map” for the export of grain from the mined ports of Ukraine. This is expected to avoid a global food crisis.
At the same time, Russia put forward a condition – the country will ensure the safe passage of Ukrainian ships with grain if Ukraine clears the approaches to the ships. Such a demand from Moscow was voiced by Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya after it became known about the developed road map of the “grain corridor”.
“As for the Ukrainians, let them clear their ports first. We are ready to ensure a safe passage, but first they must clear mines – these are their mines, not ours, ”Nebenzya said.
A meeting in a quadripartite format will be held in Istanbul in the coming days. It is planned to consider the following questions:
- route;
- insurance;
- ship security;
- clearance of ports;
- the composition of the Command Center.
As part of this initiative, the parties intend to bring 20 million tons of grain to the world market.
